New FHA Lending Limits for Clark County Las Vegas Nevada

In response to the declining home values in Clark County, the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) will be lowering the maximum lending limit for the Greater Las Vegas MSA.  The current lending limit for a 1 unit single family residence will decrease from $400,000 to $287,500.  This new limit will go into effect January 1, 2009.

If you have clients who are considering purchases that exceed this new limit, it is not too late to get their deals financed under the existing limits.

Support NAR's Four-Point Housing Stimulus Plan

Congress may soon consider a new economic stimulus bill. Housing has always lifted our economy out of past economic downturns so it is imperative that Congress focus on housing in the next stimulus package.

We need ALL members to support NAR's efforts to have the NAR Four-Point Housing Stimulus Plan included in any future stimulus bill.

Contact Congress today and ask them to include NAR's Four-Points in the next stimulus package.

NAR's is urging Congress to include the following four provisions in any future legislation:

  • Make the $7500 tax credit available to all purchasers and eliminate repayment requirements.
  • Make the 2008 FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan limits permanent.
  • Get the Emergency Treasury bank relief program back on track.
  • Permanently bar banks from engaging in real estate brokerage and management.
